Villa Pianciani Umbria Wedding // Louisa and Amit
We first met Louisa and Amit about a year ago, over cheese and wine - always a great way to kick of a new friendship! After getting on like a house on fire, more lardy dinners followed and we are now proud to call Amit and Louisa our friends. These two found each other at Glastonbury, through sunshine, music and hangovers, and have since carved out a circle of beautiful mutual friendships. These friends, along with family, were delighted to fly out to the stunning setting of Villa Pianciani in Italy for the nuptials of Louisa and Amit! They very cleverly hired the house for a full week so family and friends could also make a holiday out of it, and many did! Words can't describe how gorgeous this villa and setting are, so we'll let the photos do the talking. On the Friday night Louisa and Amit hosted a Sangeet at the villa; an evening full of colour, flavour and dancing to kick off the weekend's celebrations in style! The following day, even with an epic storm minutes before the ceremony, the sun beat the rain and shone down on the intimate secret garden where Louisa and Amit said their vows and were married in the most beautiful ceremony conducted by their friend.Music and feasting were the order of the day, and we loved trying out the amazing food including the local specialty truffle in a delicious gnocchi dish. The mille feuille wedding cake was the best pastry ever! Louisa and Amit had their first dance on the lawn under magnificent festoon lighting (aww) and partied the night away, heels kicked off, until the early hours. All in all, it couldn't have been more perfect and we are so honoured that we could be a part of this beautiful Umbria wedding. We also created a wedding film for Amit and Louisa which you can watch just below; hope it captures the essence of the glorious wedding weekend, and enjoy the photos which follow.https://vimeo.com/138187945 As you can probably guess, this wedding was an absolute DREAM for Joey and I to be a part of - thank you Louisa and Amit for showing us the beauty of Umbria, and wishing you a lifetime of love and larding! xHead back to the blog here
